Also last night, the Belle River Canadiens defeated the visiting Wallaceburg Lakers 6-4.

Wallaceburg's Nash Lozon scored twice in the second period, with Derek Nap adding a powerplay goal and Chris Lalonde scoring an unassisted marker.

Goaltender Steve Noyle made 26 saves in a losing cause for the Lakers, who are 2-3-1-0.
