The Lakefield Chief’s Jr. “C” Hockey Team would like to thank all those who sponsored the team through sweater sponsorships and draw prizes during our 2008 –2009 season. We also appreciate all those who donated towards our yearly calendar, drinks for the dressing rooms and Lenna Smith our loyal “afghan” maker fan. We also want to take this opportunity to extend our sincere appreciation to Murray Henderson game night commentator/special events and golf tournament organizer, Doug Morarity time keeper and Dennis Sutherland equipment manager, who also did the laundry, kept the dressing room in good shape and seemed to be at the beck and call of all the “boys”. We would be remiss if we didn’t thank Sam Ferreri in charge of draw tickets, 200 Club tickets and Calendar ads. The club would not function on game night without John David Dunford – tickets at the door and program, Paul Graham, Jim Seegmiller and Jim McCarthy for watching the doors and making sure everyone paid to get in to our games. We also appreciate the parents who helped in anyway support the team such as Joanne Alexander selling draw tickets, Lori Anderson providing a room and hockey tickets for our prizes, Bill Tice for drinks in the dressing room as well as Jean Ferreri for sewing on the sweater patches. We want to thank all those who donated to our program and various needs for our club. The Chief’s also appreciate the fans that came out to our games each week and those who were able to travel to the away games as well. I hope that no one has been missed, but if so I am very sorry. Without the dedication and support of our Executive, coaching staff and the community our players would not be able to enjoy a season of hockey in the same way. We look forward to seeing you again in the summer at our golf tournaments and next September at the tryouts.
