Former Winter Hawk Scores big in the NHL

 Bryan Little is leading his team the Atlanta Thrashers with 8 goals and 7 assists in 15 games this season. Bryan played on the Cambridge Winter Hawks as a 14 yr scoring 20 goals and 36 points. He played in the league All-Star game and won the Midwestern League's Rookie of the Year. That same year the Waterloo Siskins had Philadelphia Flyers defenceman Ryan Parent and the Guelph Dominators had Ottawa Senator's Cody Bass.
The Midwestern Conference has a rich hstory of producing players who have moved on to the higher levels.
 


OHA Player of the Month

 Cambridge Winter Hawk forward Anthony Colizza wins his second award in consective weeks by capturing the Ontario Hockey Association's Player of the Month.

Anthony opened the season with a 15 game pointstreak and has points in every Hawk's game except 1 this season.The crafty center scored 15 points in 10 games in October on 7 Goals and 8 assists. Anthony takes all the key face-offs on the team and is the the teams number one penalty killer. 



John Mitchell scores big

Former Waterloo Siskin John Mitchell score's his first NHL 2 goals in the Toronto Maple Leafs comeback win over the New York Rangers. 
John spent 5 years in the AHL before making his NHL debut earlier this season. John's played as an underage 15 yr old for the Siskin's in 2000/2001 season where he was a first round OHL pick to the Plymouth Whalers. The Siskins are very proud of John's achievements.
