The North Middlesex Stars defeated Delhi 7-0 in game seven to win their first OHA Cup as champions of the Southern Ontario Junior Hockey League.

The Southern Ontario Junior Hockey League has announced that the league will continue with three divisions and will play a 36 game schedule.

Teams will play each team in their division 4 times and will play all of the other teams a home and home for a total of 36 games.

The playoffs will work the same as in 2008/09 with the 3 division winners playing a double round robin to determine the 2 teams that would play a best of seven for the OHA cup
