Due to a lack of registered coaches in the OHA has decided to cancel this summers Development 2 Coaching Clinic. Sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused everyone involved. We hope to have more participants next summer.
NOW ACCEPTING REGISTRATIONS
The Ontario Hockey Association Development 1 and Development 2 Coach Seminar will take place July 16-18th 2010 in Waterloo at Wilfrid Laurier University.
The 3-day seminar will provide junior and minor hockey coaches across Ontario an opportunity to learn from the experiences of some of the top leaders and coaches of the OHA, OHL, Minor Pro, and NHL. Seminar topics will include hockey experts sharing their personal experiences of the new challenges coaches face with the new rule emphasis, season planning, offensive and defensive team play, tryouts and training camps, and many more.
The seminar will facilitate a Hockey Canada Development 1 Clinic (for those coaches wishing to obtain the minimum coaching certification requirements by the OHA). Also, new this year, the seminar will facilitate a Hockey Canada Development 2 Clinic (for those coaches wishing to further their level of coaching certification, must have Development 1). Participants will have the option to participate in both the certification clinic and seminars or only the seminars.
Development 1 and Development 2 Clinic participants will receive full certification upon completion of written assignment and filed assessments.
