Empire League celebrates 20th year

League_empire_junior_c_medium

It is with great pleasure that we welcome our fans, players, parents, officials, and administrators back for this, the 20th season of competition in the Empire B Junior C Hockey League.

The Empire league would like to congratulate the Napanee Raiders for being its first team in 12 years to reach the OHA semifinal, and challenge all its teams this year to strive for higher goals.

From early indications, most teams have improved going into the season and we're hopeful there will be an intense race over the 40 game season for the four playoff positions.

Please stay tuned to this site for news and announcements from the league, and visit your team pages and Pointstreak stats regularly.

Also, if you are interested in increasing your corporate exposure by partnering with the Empire B league, contact league staff for further details.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Empire B Junior C Hockey League and to offer more exposure for our game, the league is planning a one-day showcase to be held at Napanee's Strathcona Paper Centre, Dec. 13.

The day features three consecutive regular season games for one $10 admission with the proceeds distributed amongst the league teams. Mark it on your calendars now, it's a fast-paced, action-packed can't miss offer.

The action starts at 2:30 p.m. with the Campbellford Rebels hosting the Frontenac Flyers.  Game 2 goes at 5:15 with the Amherstview Jets the home team against the Colborne Cobras.  Lastly, the home-town Raiders faceoff with the Picton Pirates at about 8 p.m.  Home team season passes will be honoured.

Keep an eye out at your home arena in November for more information.
