Player of the Month - January

Will Jones - Lakefield Chiefs

Will started his Minor Hockey in Lakefield. He then played in the Ennismore organization, where he played to the end of Pee wee. He moved from there to the AAA program in Peterborough where he played Bantam and Midget. Will then joined the Peterborough Stars of the OPJHL until the 07/08 season when he joined the Chiefs.

Will is the leading scorer among defensemen in the Central Ontario Jr. C. League. Will is a excellent skater and puck handler, and is known for his outstanding shot from the point. Will is described as a very dedicated player and the Chiefs are very happy that Will joined their team this season.

In the Month of January Will played 9 games, scoring a goal, adding 6 assists for seven points. This brings his League leading totals to 8 goals and 25 assists for 33 points.

The OHA and the Central Ontario Jr. C. Hockey League would like to congratulate Will. Will has been presented with the Player of the Month trophy for January.
