Ironmen Making Waves on Deadline
The Ironmen make some big moves on the Deadline
The Wingham Ironmen started off last weekend making some moves and set the tone late Thursday night as they made one of the years biggest moves.
Last weekend, the Ironmen traded goalie Chris Fyvie to Mount Forest in return for speedy forward Dylan Weltz. Dylan has fit right in with the Ironmen roster, and has found a home between Adam and Cory MacDonald. The Ironmen also traded Josh Mitton to the Patriots for future considerations.
Wednesday night, the Ironmen continued to make some moves as they aquired back Brett Nichol from the Woodstock Renegades. Also re-joining the Ironmen Wednesday was Adam Corbett. Adam was playing in Listowel with the Cyclones. Having Adam back on the blue line will help out the Ironmen.
Wednesday night also saw the return of Andy Cline to the Ironmen dressing room. Andy's offence was missed, and it's great to have him back in the line up.
Thursday night marked one of the biggest deals in recent years. The Ironmen went out and landed one of the leagues top goalies in Ryan Maurice. Ryan has been with Kincardine Bulldogs for the past few years and has had great success with them and the Ironmen hope he brings that flare with him to Wingham!
These are all of the trades that have been forwarded to us from Ironmen GM Steve Coulter (as of Midnight).
Stay tunded tomorrow for any late night dealings!
