Matthew Beck of the Guelph Dominators:
Matthew was an assistant captian with the Dominators last season.
Carried a 74.8% average last season while attending U of G
Director of Hockey Operations for the Dominators Ab Henshaw, said of Matt "he is one of those guys you hate to play against, but love to have on your team"
Matthew wishes to continue to concentrate on his studies in economics and financial management.
Adam Little of the Owen Sound Greys:
Adam maintained an 87% average in his last year of high school, earning him honour roll status.
At Lambton College, Adam is enrolled in Instrumentation and Control Engineering Technology.
While playing minor midget for the Grey Bruce Highlanders, Adam received a personal award for"Highest Academic Average"
Adam won the Greys team award this past season for"Perseverance and Determination"
Shayne McClure of the Listowel Cyclones:
Shayne has been been named the Captain for the Cyclones for the upcoming season
Growing up in Mitchell ON, Shayne had the honour of receiving the town's award for "Athlete of the
Year through the sport of hockey"
Shayne commutes one hour, 3 times a week to balance academics and hockey
In his second year at the Wilfred Laurier working on his bachelor of science in Kinesiology.
Shayne maintained an 87% average last yer.
Dan Rhame of the Elmira Sugar Kings:
Dan is currently in his second year of taking coarses at Fanshawe College with average of 86%.
While playing part of his minor hockey in Woolwich, won two league awards "Most Deticated and "Most Valuable Player"
Last season Dan won his teams award as "Rookie of the Year"
Dan takes an active roll in local charity events such as Goodwill Food Drives and Legion fundraisers. Dan wishes to continue his education at the University level upon completion of his studies at Fanshaw in Fitness and Health Promotions
Scott Van Bommel of the Guelph Dominators:
Scott is entering his 3rd year at the U of G, enrolled in the Honours Physics program, maintianing a 90% average.
Working towards a masters degree and eventualy a PhD.
While attending high school, Scott was the winner of 3 National Mathematics Competitions
In his 3 years in the Midwest, Scott has shared "Top Team Goaltending Award" on one ocassion.
