Helping his Villanova Knights win seven of the eight games he played in, David Jenkins outstanding January month made him the perfect choice for the OHA Bauer Player of the Month award. Jenkins, a Ajax native is currently enjoying his first season with the Knights after playing two seasons with the Ajax Attack. This 6'0, 190 lbs goal tender has amazing reflexes and a natural ability to feel for the puck, the way all great goalies do. Jenkins was able to turn away 238 of the 259 shots he faced in January, including a shut out preformance on the 22nd against the Buffalo Jr. Sabres when he stopped all 32 shots he faced on route to a big 6-0 win for his Knights.

In his first season with the Thorold Blackhawks, Matt Abercrombie has made his presence felt in the dressing room and on the ice. Scoring 8 goals and 13 assists in 10 games has made Abercrombie the January OHA Golden Horseshoe Bauer Player of the Month. The Sarnia Native is enjoying his new team this season and is looking forward to a chance to shine in the playoffs. The 6'1. 184 lbs forward not only has great size but fantastic speed and puck control, a deadly combination to face. The soon to be 20-year-old had his most productive game on January 16th in Stoney Creek where he scored two goals and added three assists on route to a 6-1 for his Blackhawks over the Warriors.

This smooth skating forward has a natural ability to contribute points on any given night. Opposing coaches take note, this 20-year-old is coming on strong heading into the playoffs. Standing just 5'8 and weighing 165 lbs Turner has become a solid contributer on the LaSalle Vipers this season. The Windsor Natives highlight game came at the end of the month when he managed to score three goals and three assists on the 30th against the Lambton Shores Predators on route to a big 15-0 win.

Sedore's ability to see the ice has helped him contribute on the game sheet almost every night. In his fourth year with the Ice, this 5'11, 170lbs forward has made his presence felt. The Sutton native currently ranks third in the Central Hockey Leagues overall scoring and shows no signes of letting up. Lewis scored an outstanding 11 goals and added two assists to lead his club in points thoughout the month. The 21-year-old from Carunna is currently in the middle of a playoff run that he hopes will end in celebrations all summer long. Standing 6'0 and weighing 220 lbs, Lewis has size and strength over many of his opponents and uses it to his advantage. His highlight game came on the 6th against the Blenhiem Blades, he scored four goals and added an assist on route to a 11-2 win for his Lakers.
