Mike Ellis currently coaches the Nottingham Panthers of the BMI Elite League in the United Kingdom, after a 14-year playing/ career mostly in the UK with a short stint in the 2nd division in Germany. The 34 year old has had tremendous success in the UK as a player/coach where he has won either the league or playoff championship each year since 2001.
On the international stage Ellis has had the honor of being a member of the British National Team as player and assistant coach and competed in the Pool B World Championships for the past 8 years, winning a bronze medal in 2000 and a silver medal in 2001.
Ellis born in Burlington, Ontario grew up playing his minor hockey in Flamborough where he went on to play for now defunct Junior C Flamborough Gamblers and the Burlington Cougars in the OHA before pursuing his professional playing and coaching career in Europe.
