If you missed this game you missed a barn burner. It was end to end hockey from the start with Wellesley opening the scoreing early in the second period Burford knew they had to pull out all the stops in this one. They kept hitting and rushing for the whole game. Dan Mitchell got Burford even on a pass from Micky Geiling and Eric Edelman. Then it was Justin Zylstra,s turn. Garret Claxton and Ted Hayes set him up to make it two to one. Again Mike Eenrique had to be sharp as Wellesley were not giving up. On one of the Wellesley chanches, defenceman, Alex Maksymchuk, pulled the puck off the goal line. That would have put Wellesley even. There was no scoring in the third but the hits were big and the game had to be the best that I have seen in a very long time. I am sure the boys on both benches were exhausted as neither team wanted the other to get the upper hand.Wellesley pulled the goalie with just over a minute left but Burford kept Wellesley from scoreing. Burford outshot Wellesley in the third period by a 14 to 6 margin but in the end the shots were near even.

Congratulations go to the Burford Bulldogs. Bring on Delhi. I believe the first game is in Delhi Wednesday eve at 730 then again on Friday. Next game in Burford will be next Sunday night but check the OHA schedule page to be sure
