On Friday night in Tavistock the Braves hosted the Hagersville Hawks.
Hagersville came out to a quick start and scored twice in the opening frame to lead 2-0 heading into the second.
In the second the Braves woke up when Marcus Yantzi ripped a shot from the point on the power play to cut the lead to 2-1. Adam Renkema and Travis Parkin picked up assists. Hagersville then scored a short handed marker to take another 2 goal lead. Kyle Alyea than found himself alone in front of the net and took a nice pass from Braedan Marcaccio and beat Hagersvilles goalie. Jeff Roes tied the game 1 minute later from Renkema and Blair MacKay.
In the third Alyea scored his second of the game to put Tavistock up by one and Mike Blum scored into an empty net to solidify the win, with the final 5-3 Braves.
