North Frontenac Arena has started renovations to the 35 year old arena. Five new dressing rooms, referees room and a pro shop are being added to the south end of the arena. Work began in mid July and is expected to be completed by October 1st.
This is just phase one of the arena reno, as next season the arena will be re-fitted with new seats, new front enterance and a new working area for the Frontenac Flyers Jr.C hockey club. The Flyers will have an area to accommidate new dressing room area, offices, training and physio area.
" This upgrade to the arena will allow our players, coaches and executive the opportunity to continue to develop and work towards our goals." added Flyers General Manager Mike MacDonald.
Phase two of the construction is to begin in the late spring and be ready by mid september of 2008.
