Congratulations to both Alliston Hornets and Essex 73's for a clean, hard fought provincial final series. A Hollywood director couldn't have scripted it any better. Seven games, Overtime, two well balanced teams.
Unfortunately in hockey, like in life, someone wins and someone loses.

Congratulations to the Alliston Hornets for beating Essex in overtime in Game 7, for winning their first Provincial Championship in the team's history, and on their first trip to the finals. A great tribute to the hard work of a team (players, staff, and volunteers) who, just a few short years ago, was a struggling team.

I wonder how many other leagues can boast of a Three-peat Provincial JrC Champions, and by two different teams. I don't think that there are many, if any.
