The Chatham Maroons have announced that head coach Marc Swayze will now be responsible for decisions regarding player transactions and for communications regarding any player information. These duties will be added to his current responsibilities as head coach, vice-president of hockey operations, and co-owner of the club.
Swayze led the Maroons to a 17-26-5 record and an eighth place finish in his first full season as head coach. The Maroons were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs in four straight games by the first-place Tecumseh Chiefs, the eventual WOHL champions.
