In a deadline deal, the Mount Forest Patriots have moved 2nd year defenseman Luke Brown to the Hanover Barons, for future considerations.
Luke will join the Barons in time for this weekend’s action. “The Patriots wish Luke all the best and thank him for his contributions to the Pats over the past two seasons,” said Head Coach & General Manager Gerry Hillier.
In two trades earlier this month, the Patriots acquired speedy forward Josh Mitton from the Wingham Ironmen for future considerations and goaltender Chris Fyvie, (also via a trade with Wingham) which saw former Pats forward Dylan Weltz moving to the Ironmen in exchange.
With continued improvements off the ice and stronger on ice performances in the past month (despite the w-l record), these moves will further bolster the Patriots roster in time to finish the season strong, going into the playoffs.
